Seven Sacred Pools camping area. My
first day ever at this area I stretched a nylon rope between these two
"trees" and hung a tarp for shelter. I was naive to say the least.

A different angle af the camping area at Seven
Sacred Pools. Rare is moment that one can find this kind of
inspiring serenity. Don't try to swim down there. Plenty of
sharks!

Hidden grotto along the course of O'he'o
Stream (Seven Sacred Pools) and a higher elevation. Wish I had a better
camera.

Maui beef. Hana side, Maui. What a
life.

Lava formed this completely encircled "tub"
eons ago at Seven Sacred Pools. The waves pore water in but it
trickles out. The result is considerably warmer water.
About 30 feet deep. That is me diving in. I've got shorts
on.

This photo was taken from the bottom area of
Seven Sacred Pools.

Further upstream at Seven Sacred Pools.
This area is inaccessable unless you are a good swimmer. I wrapped my
camera tight in a plastic waterproof bag and swam side stroke.

Albert Escandon, a friend since we were
teenagers, followed me to Maui and lived there for a few years.
He was a lineman in Vietnam and with the experience, installed some of
the first television cable on Maui.

No special reason for taking this picture
accept that the abandoned building looked rustic. I believe this
was in the Wailuku area of Maui about 1984.

A rainbow forming out of the West Maui
Mountains. Also known as Eke Crater.

Sunset on the West side of Maui. The
land mass you see in the distance is one end of the island of Lanai.
